This is wrong, Sturges was the only one to realize that the tube is redundant and not needed for the teleportation.

Both leg armors with acrobatic (50% reduce falling damage) legendaries work the same way.

What sucks is (unless they fixed it) you can do the quests in a certain order that essentially requires you to sell out the Far Harbor synths or never complete one of the Brotherhood questlines, as you didn't get an option to rat them out, you do it automatically if you talk to the guy you are required to talk to.
